Each purchase order has a number, a date, the supplier, the job it's for, a description, the items total and tax, and the invoice amount. Attach the supplier's invoice as a PDF or image so it stays with the order.

Ordering for a café fit-out
A contractor buys framing and drywall from two suppliers for one job.
- Order framing. PO-0417 to Valley Lumber Supply: framing package and LVL header, $4,310 plus GST.
- Order drywall. PO-0418 to Prairie Drywall Co.: drywall, mud and corner bead.
- Attach invoices. Each supplier invoice is uploaded to its PO when it arrives.
- See the cost. Both orders appear in Financial Analytics for the month and reduce net profit accordingly.
